Carmine Morreale
Dr. Carmine L. Morreale, has over 32 years of clinical dentistry experience with an emphasis in cosmetic digital dentistry, pain-free conscious sedation dentistry and treating sleep apnea patients with oral devices.
Since graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1986, he has held faculty appointments at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, Boston University School of Dental Medicine and he continues to teach at Tufts as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. Dr. Morreale has completed his residency in the sleep apnea program at Tufts School of Dental Medicine and is currently a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), the only non-profit professional association dedicated exclusively to the practice of dental sleep medicine. Dr. Morreale helps treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy, an effective treatment that is covered by most insurance plans.
Dr. Morreale celebrated 30 years of marriage to Ellen O. Morreale in 2014. They are proud parents of three children and grandparents to a granddaughter and grandson.
In 2008, Dr. Morreale was accepted to the Studio Diploma program in sculpture at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He continues his passion each day of caring and creating in his professional and personal life.
Dr. Sam Shamardi earned his DMD at Tufts University and his Periodontal certificate at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery and practices full-time while teaching part-time at the Harvard Division of Periodontics.
Dr. Shamardi lectures nationally and internationally on topics within periodontics and hearing loss in dentistry and has published multiple articles. He is recognized as a dental entrepreneur for his revolutionary EarAid product and published The Financial Survival G
Sam Shamardi
Dr. Megan Huyett graduated Cum Laude from Colgate University with honors in Biology in 2008. In 2013, she received her Doctorate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was elected to the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and received numerous honors and awards including The Alumni Clinical Excellence Award in Geriatric Dentistry, The Northeastern Society of Periodontists Award, and a Merit Scholarship based on Academic Performance.
Dr. Huyett trained at Pittsburgh’s VA Medical Center as a general practice resident treating medically complicated patients and strengthened her expertise and knowledge in oral surgery, periodontology, implantology, endodontics, and esthetic dentistry. While practicing dentistry in Pittsburgh, Dr. Huyett was first exposed to and began to treat patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
Dr. Huyett remains committed to the study and practice of dental sleep medicine, providing patients with an alternative treatment option to CPAP and surgery for obstructive sleep apnea. She is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, in 2017 she distinguished herself as a Qualified Dentist in providing oral appliance therapy in the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. In 2018 she completed the Tufts University Dental Sleep Medicine Mini-Residency Program.
In July 2019, Dr. Huyett will be receiving her Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in their profession. To receive this award, Dr. Huyett completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled three years of continuing membership with the AGD.
Dr. Huyett is dedicated to providing her patients with superior care, respect, and compassion. She currently resides in Wayland, MA with her husband Phil Huyett and their daughter, Charlotte.

Dr. Christina DiBona Pastan is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Endodontics and the Director of Mind-Body Wellness at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. A 300-hour certified Kripalu yoga and meditation instructor, Dr. Pastan is the first dental educator to create a Mind-Body Wellness Program for dental school. The Mind-Body Wellness Program at Tufts is an innovative, didactic and clinical curriculum that begins in the first year of dental school. The unique program encompasses the teaching of evidence-based mind-body practices to lower dental student stress, improve student wellness, decrease burnout and build resilience and coping skills to enable the delivery of mindful and compassionate dental care to patients. Dr. Pastan guides weekly yoga classes and meditation often integrating current classroom subject matter into her sessions. A researcher and international speaker, Dr. Pastan lectures on the benefits of mind-body practices the with emphasis on their function as tools for stress management and qualities to foster personal growth and professional development. Dr. Pastan’s research includes the impact of self-regulatory mind-body practices as interventions to decrease student stress and performance anxiety as well as evaluating the perceptions of mindfulness as a strategy to lower imposter feelings in dental students. Outside of her role at Tufts, Dr. Pastan maintains a private practice limited to endodontics in Back Bay Boston.
